This site is intended to complement (but not substitute) whatever you learn at art schools, drawing courses, or how-to-draw books.

And if you're just considering learning how to draw and how to paint, you're also very welcome to this site!

Here you'll find articles about color theory , how to use different painting media (e.g. oil, acrylics, watercolors, gouache, charcoal , pastels, pencil, and that sort of thing), different painting techniques, how to draw, how to preserve your paintings , and even how to frame them and exhibit them (if you're really serious in your artistic endeavours!).

You'll also find information about characteristics of paints, preparations for painting, technical recipes, and general guidance in picture-making.

And even if you already are an experienced artist, I hope you'll find new tips and techniques that you can add to your own repertoire of tips and tricks.

Learning to draw and paint is an ongoing process and there is always room for improvement, and there is always something new to learn.
